Interview with Rev. Doretha Clark, MDiv, MS Mental Health Counseling

Reverend Doretha Clark, MDIV, MS - Mental Health Counseling, provides spiritual support to patients and families living with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). She also facilitates training and education in Hospice care, death and dying, grief and bereavement. Prior to her current roles, she served as a Hospice chaplain for several hospice agencies for more than 10 years, where she provided end-of-life care and support to patients and families throughout Northern Illinois, both in homes and in skilled nursing facilities. Reverend Clark received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern University in Baton Rouge, La, followed by a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in pastoral care from Northern Seminary and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. The 10th of 14 siblings, Reverend Clark and her husband Deacon Robert Clark reside in Northern Illinois. They have 3 grown children, 3 grandchildren and one Shih Tzu named Cookie.
